About
Field Pull copies recordings from a USB field recorder onto your iPhone over a single cable. Plug in, tick the takes you want, choose a folder, done. Built for the Teenage Engineering TP-7 and tested with it end to end. It should also work with other recorders that expose their files over MTP in the same way, though only the TP-7 has been verified. PLUG IN AND SEE EVERYTHING Put the recorder in MTP mode and connect it with a USB-C cable. Field Pull lists every recording with its length, format, size and date, newest first. Search by name, or hide everything that is not a WAV. LISTEN BEFORE YOU COPY Tap play on any WAV and it streams straight off the recorder, with a waveform you can drag to scrub. Find the take you meant before you move a single byte. PICK, THEN PICK WHERE Tick as many recordings as you like. Field Pull copies them to your iPhone with a progress bar, then opens the Files sheet so you choose exactly where they go: On My iPhone, iCloud Drive, a USB drive, any location Files can see. BUILT FOR BIG FILES Recordings stream in chunks, so a two-hour 96 kHz take copies without filling memory. Cancel at any point and the partial file is removed. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE No accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no servers. The app contains no networking code at all. Your recordings go from the recorder to the folder you choose and nowhere else. WHAT YOU NEED An iPhone with a USB-C port and a USB-C to USB-C cable. Recorder support depends on the recorder presenting its files over MTP as a class-compliant device. The TP-7 does. Field Pull is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Teenage Engineering.Read more
