Put a record on. Turn it up. Let your fingers do the talking. Turntable Classic turns your iPad into a DJ deck inspired by classic vinyl turntables. Brushed metal, grooves, a moving tonearm, a slipmat, and a strobe: the details are there, and the controls respond to your touch. GET YOUR HANDS ON THE RECORD Hold the vinyl still, scratch forward or backward, then let go as it catches up with the platter. Slide along the rim to gently speed up or slow down a track and practice beatmatching by ear. You can even scratch with the deck powered off. TEMPO IN YOUR HANDS • Pitch adjustment from −8% to +8%, with fine control and a tap on the LED to reset. • Key lock to change playback tempo while preserving the track’s musical key. • Estimated BPM, remaining time, and a waveform to find your way through a track. • Album artwork on the record label and file metadata when available. THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE A DECK Move the cartridge to choose a playback position. Lift the tonearm to pause the sound while the platter keeps spinning. Cut the power and let the record coast down. Turn on the stylus light, watch the strobe, or add a tape marker. Pinch with two fingers to remove the record and reveal the slipmat. Button clicks, end-of-record noise, and a needle skip triggered by a firm jolt of the iPad are optional. Even that little DJ mishap gets its own setting. YOUR TRACKS, YOUR COLLECTION Import personal audio files through Files, including MP3, unprotected M4A/AAC, or WAV, or pick personal tracks stored on your iPad in Music. Your imports stay in the app’s library. Audio analysis happens on the device, with no Turntable account required. An original demo gets you started right away. Long files are supported; preparation needs free storage on your iPad. ONE DECK PER IPAD Practice on one iPad or build a setup with two iPads connected to an external mixer. A suitable wired audio output is recommended for DJ gestures. Devices without a headphone jack need a compatible audio adapter. Requires iPadOS 17 or later. Playback stops when the app moves to the background. KEEP IT CLASSIC. OR ADD COLOR. Black vinyl is included. Two optional one-time in-app purchases are available: remove ads, or get four vinyl finishes — white, red, blue, and transparent — with ad removal included. No subscription. Prices are shown in the app. The ad-supported version may show ads at launch and when loading tracks. BEFORE YOU LOAD A RECORD This version plays your personal audio files. Apple Music, Spotify, and Deezer streaming are not supported. Apple Music subscription tracks, including downloaded tracks, and other protected files cannot be loaded. BPM detection is an estimate; let your ears have the final say. The rest is between you and the record.
