Turn-by-turn English–Japanese speech translation, plus a dedicated Japanese subtitle mode for English tour guides. The app interface is in Japanese. PREPARE ONCE, CHECK AUTOMATICALLY Requires iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Use Wi-Fi for the initial Apple speech and translation language downloads. The app checks saved models automatically at launch and asks for preparation only when needed. Device support varies. Preparing models alone does not start the microphone. CONVERSATION MODE Tell the other person you are translating, then start the conversation and grant microphone permission. Speak one short sentence at a time. After a pause, the app identifies English or Japanese, translates into the other language, and reads it aloud. The microphone pauses during translation and playback. Wait for listening to resume before speaking. This is not zero-delay simultaneous interpretation. MANUAL CONTROL Ambiguous words, mixed languages, names, or noise may need language confirmation. Select the source language manually or type text instead. Replay translations and adjust voice speed or the end-of-sentence pause in settings. Set output volume on the iPhone. GUIDE SUBTITLES Open ガイド and start listening to an English guide. Japanese subtitles are added at pauses or roughly six-second intervals while capture continues during translation. No translated audio is played. Toggle original English, adjust text size, and return to the latest subtitle. Processing overflow is reported rather than silently filled in. Pause finishes queued segments. STOPPING AND HISTORY Locking, backgrounding, interruptions, or leaving guide mode stops capture. An optional setting starts conversation listening on a prepared subsequent launch. Conversation history holds 30 items in memory; guide subtitles hold 600 segments. They are lost when the app exits. No audio recordings are saved. SAFETY AND SUPPORT Do not operate this app while driving. Noise, wind, distance, and model limitations can cause errors, delays, and missing text. Do not rely on it for safety instructions, medical matters, or contracts. Confirm important information directly. Japanese interface; free with no ads, purchases, or account.
