You drag a finger across the letters, find a word, and before you move on it tells you what it means. Deen Words is a word search built on over 1,100 Islamic terms from the Quran, prayer, dhikr and seerah. Your vocabulary grows while you play, and your memory gets a workout on words worth keeping. No time limit, no countdown, no lives, no energy bar to wait on. Your solving time appears once the grid is done, and only as information. Your first grid is solved in Makkah. From there 2500 levels run through 30 cities, from Cordoba and Samarkand to Timbuktu and Cape Town. The start is gentle: 6x6 boards with four entries at first, 12x12 with ten much later, and no answer spelled backwards before level 251. Before new search directions arrive, the game tells you. The terms come from 22 topics, from the pillars of Islam through prayer, prophets and Ramadan to the companions and the names of Allah. Everything is written in Latin letters, so you look for ZAKAT, SABR and IMAN, with no Arabic script to read. The English translations are in there as well: you find SABR, and you find PATIENCE. Every day a little chest of coins waits on the home screen, seven make a row, and a missed day costs you nothing. From level 15 a daily task waits, most days a hadith or saying with missing words hidden in the grid. The 7-day streak adds a bonus on day 3 and day 7. Once you have finished a topic you can take on its extreme round: twelve long words, all eight directions, and instead of the words you only see their meaning. Along the way you collect 60 stamps for milestones and 249 quotes to read: 21 verses with the surah named, 117 hadith with the collection named, and 111 sayings clearly marked as attributed. Hidden words that never appear on the list pay out coins. A blocklist keeps the random filler letters from spelling anything that does not belong. No chat, no leaderboards, no sign up, no account and no server of our own, so your progress stays on the device. Every board is built on your phone, so it all works on a plane or a train.
