Vozhyk

Vozhyk is an on-device drone awareness app for iPhone. It uses the camera, local object detection, Bluetooth Low Energy scanning, available location/heading context, motion sensors, and best-effort Wi-Fi network information where iOS permits access to help users monitor possible drone-like activity nearby. Version 1.3 includes our improved on-device drone detector model. Compared with the model deployed in version 1.2, held-out test detection quality improved by about 3 times higher at the primary detection-quality threshold and about 6 times higher on the stricter localization-quality measure. The app analyzes the live camera feed on device and can highlight detected objects such as drones, plane-drone objects, aircraft, birds, people, vehicles, and other supported classes. Manual and automatic zoom assistance helps inspect small distant objects while keeping camera analysis local on the iPhone. Vozhyk can optionally estimate distance for supported visible objects and can optionally save current-device track logs in local app storage. When enabled, track logs may include object type, confidence, estimated object coordinates, phone location, heading, altitude context, and movement estimates. It is not an emergency service, certified security system, aviation safety system, weapon system, autonomous control system, or professional measurement instrument. Detection and distance results are estimates and may be affected by lighting, distance, camera motion, object size, model confidence, radio availability, iOS permissions, and environment. Privacy: camera frames are processed on device. The app does not upload camera images or detection logs to developer servers. Optional local accessory data transfer happens only over the user's local network after the user connects to compatible hardware.
