Sunaloom: Time Away

Less phone. More life. Sunaloom helps you make room for a book, a conversation, or a little unhurried time. Choose a pause, press one button, then lock your screen and leave the app. There is no countdown to watch and no completion notification calling you back. A BONSAI OF YOUR OWN Return when you choose. Sunaloom records the time you spent outside the app. Confirm that your screen was off during those intervals, and let that time gently shape your shimpaku bonsai. This is a personally confirmed estimate, not OS-measured screen sleep: other-app and Lock Screen use cannot be detected. Time spent viewing Sunaloom is excluded. No extra permission or manual time entry is needed. There is no watering, withering, streak penalty, or reward for checking in. Growth animations are brief and optional; reduced motion is supported. Apple and Google purchases are separate; web and cross-store synchronization are not included. HONEST ABOUT DEVICE RECORDS Your own reflection is clearly identified as self-reported. iPhone growth requires a separate, explicit confirmation of screen-off rest. A timer alone never creates growth. Clock discontinuities and intervals over 24 hours are excluded. On supported iOS devices, optional Screen Time permission lets you choose apps and view usage in Apple's protected, hourly report. These totals may include time outside a pause. They are not used to calculate bonsai growth. Sunaloom cannot prove that a phone was physically untouched, block apps, or force a device lock. Unavailable data stays unknown. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No app account, advertising, or social feed. Reflections and bonsai data stay on your device. Screen Time usage is not exported to Sunaloom's web interface, backups, or AWS. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app-user identifier and purchase information to validate optional Studio purchases. Shared art omits names, intentions and device records.
