Description
Most purchases feel expensive on day one. The price is easy to remember, but the value you get back from actually using the thing is almost invisible. That is why good purchases can still create guilt, and why impulse buys are so easy to repeat.
Clocked gives every purchase a living cost per use. Add what you bought, enter what you paid, and clock a use whenever the item earns its keep. Each use lowers the real cost. A tactile Worth It ring fills as you move toward the number that would make the purchase feel justified on your terms.
It is simple math, made useful enough to become a habit.
SEE WHAT YOUR STUFF IS REALLY COSTING YOU
The original price is only the starting point. Clocked divides the amount you paid by the number of times you have used an item, then updates the result instantly every time you clock another use. A $600 purchase used twice still costs $300 per use. Use it sixty times and it costs $10 per use. Clocked makes that progress visible.
TRACK ANYTHING, NOT JUST A WARDROBE
Most cost-per-use apps are built around clothes and outfit planning. Clocked is category neutral. Track cameras, tools, bikes, coffee equipment, instruments, furniture, hobby gear, kitchen appliances, memberships, or anything else you want to use more intentionally. Add a photo and an optional tag, or keep it fast and enter only a name and price.
DECIDE WHAT WORTH IT MEANS TO YOU
Set a target cost per use for every item. Clocked turns that goal into a clear visual ring. When your cost reaches the target, the item moves into Worth It and the app marks the moment with motion and haptics. There are no streaks, shame messages, or guilt-driven scores. The goal is to appreciate what you own and make better use of it.
CATCH PURCHASE REGRET BEFORE CHECKOUT
Should I Buy This helps you pressure-test a purchase before spending. Enter the price, how often you honestly expect to use it, and how long you plan to keep it. Clocked projects the likely cost per use and compares the result with your own history. Instead of a generic rule about what you should buy, you get a reality check based on how you actually use the things you already own.
HANDLE ONE-TIME AND RECURRING COSTS TOGETHER
A purchase does not need to be a physical object. Track a gym membership, software plan, club membership, or other recurring expense beside your one-time purchases. Clocked calculates value using the total amount paid over time, so you can see whether an ongoing expense is still earning its place.
CLOCK A USE WITHOUT OPENING THE APP
The fastest interaction is the one you will keep doing. Clock uses from home-screen and lock-screen widgets, Siri, Shortcuts, or the Action Button. Your most recently used items stay close, and every clock action provides immediate visual and haptic feedback.
UNDERSTAND THE BIGGER PICTURE
Monthly recaps show the value you earned, your best-value item, and what may need more use. The app also separates active items, items that have reached Worth It, and items that have not been used recently, using neutral language that informs without scolding.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Clocked has no ads, no analytics SDK, and no bank or card connection. You enter only the purchases you want to track. A required account protects your data and keeps item and use history in sync through an encrypted connection. Each account can access only its own records. Item photos currently stay on the device where you add them.
TRY THE CORE EXPERIENCE FOR FREE
Track up to three items with the full core experience, including the Worth It ring, widgets, and Should I Buy This. Clocked Unlimited is a one-time $9.99 purchase that unlocks unlimited items, recurring costs, monthly recaps, and every widget size. There is no subscription.
