Ilvara: EV Charging Map

Chargers your car can actually plug into — on your phone and on the CarPlay screen. Ilvara finds EV charging stations around you, puts them on a map nearest first, and tells you how long a stop would take with your battery and your current charge. Tell it which connectors your car takes, and the stations you cannot use stop cluttering the map. ON THE CAR SCREEN • A map of charging stations on the car display, nearest first. Each card shows how far it is, how long a stop would take and which connector it has. • Directions hand over to Apple Maps — the app built for guidance while driving. • One button in the top bar swaps the pins between the stations near you and the ones you saved. • Filters stay on the phone on purpose: what to hide is a decision better made while stopped. FINDING A CHARGER • Map plus list, nearest first. Tap a pin and its card appears: distance, estimated stop, power, connectors, how many plugs, address. • Pan the map to look somewhere else and it searches the new area as you go. • Narrow it to DC fast only, or to stations that fit your car — the screen says how many it hid, so nothing disappears quietly. • A station reported offline says so, instead of costing you the trip. MY CAR — WHAT MAKES THE REST USEFUL • Pick every plug your car takes: Type 2, CCS, Type 1, CHAdeMO, Tesla / NACS, or a domestic socket. Until you do, every station is shown — a longer list, but never a wrong one. • Set the battery size, the fastest AC and DC your car accepts, its consumption, and where the charge is now. • That is what puts a charging time on every station and an estimate of how far you can still go before you need one. CHARGING TIMES, HONESTLY • Estimates come from your battery, your current charge, your target and what the station can deliver — capped by what your car accepts, because the car is usually the limit. • When your car is the bottleneck, the app says so: driving further to a faster post would buy you nothing. • DC charging slows sharply past 80%, so the estimate accounts for the taper and the default target is 80%. • Every time is written with a ≈. A cold battery, a busy site or an older pack all move it. SAVED STATIONS THAT WORK OFFLINE • Save the ones you come back to: the one at home, the one at work, the reliable one on your usual route. • A saved station keeps its own copy of the facts, so the list draws with no signal at all — an underground car park included. • Press and hold to label one Home, Work, or the good one. Your label shows instead of the operator's name. • If a saved station has not been confirmed for over a week, its row says so rather than presenting old facts as current. • Areas you have searched are kept for a week, so the map still draws underground. Settings shows how much is held, and clears it. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It does not plan routes, reserve a bay or start a charging session. It answers one question — which charger is worth stopping at — and hands the driving to Apple Maps.
