Description
Thunderegg News is a small newspaper for people who watch markets.
Six times a day, an editor built from forty-one sources — wires, exchanges, central
banks, the trade press — reads everything, throws out the noise, and files a short brief
for each desk: Stocks & Indices, Bonds & Credit, Crypto, Tech, Geopolitics, Sport, and a
Breaking page for the last six hours. You get the headlines that move prices, the lines
that explain why, and nothing that was written to be clicked.
What you get
• A front page you choose: pick the three desks you care about; every desk has its own page.
• A brief per desk, written fresh every edition, with the stories it drew on.
• Breaking: coverage-ranked, last six hours, no single desk allowed to swamp it.
• Following: the analysts and writers you read, via their own feeds.
• Articles open in Safari, in Reader view where the site allows it. Nothing is rehosted.
Bring your own AI
Everything personal runs on your Mac with a model you control (Mac app, with Thunderegg Pro). Point the app at
Ollama on your machine, or add an Anthropic or OpenAI key — it is stored in your keychain
and never leaves your device except to your chosen provider. Then:
• Add a topic — "trading strategies", "AI tools", anything — with a brief in your words
and your own feeds. Your model screens the stories, keeps what fits, and writes a primer.
• Filter the edition against a sentence you write. See exactly what was hidden, and why.
No account. No tracking. The edition is free.
Thunderegg Pro is a single purchase, not a subscription. On the Mac it unlocks personal topics, your own feeds, the AI filter and category customisation, all running on a model you control.
