TOOLS FOR FAMILIES AND TUTORS A grown-up check protects learner settings and progress. Manage multiple learners, review practice, and choose the next step. Measured accuracy uses objective listening choices and grown-up-checked answers. Unchecked speaking practice stays separate. PRIVATE AND READY OFFLINE Lessons and audio are included, so practice works without Wi-Fi after installation. No account, ads, tracking, analytics, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Learner profiles and progress stay on the device. With microphone permission, Sound Blending and Sound Segmenting record short practice clips so your child can hear themselves and compare with Ollie's example. Recordings are stored temporarily on the device for playback, not uploaded or shared. Declining permission keeps unrecorded practice available. The app does not recognize speech or score pronunciation. Choose a nickname and a helper animal. Ollie will guide the first round. Phonics Owl uses structured literacy principles to support reading practice. It does not diagnose or treat dyslexia or any other condition.
