Film yourself with a compact script near your front camera, or turn your iPhone or iPad into a full-screen Prompter controlled from another device. FILM YOURSELF WITH SELFIE MODE Keep your words close to the lens. Selfie mode places a small, narrow script window near the front camera to help limit eye movement while you record. Adjust text size, width, and visible lines separately from your regular Prompter settings. The window follows your camera position when you rotate your iPhone or iPad. Tap Record for your configured countdown; scrolling begins when the camera confirms recording has started. Pause or drag the script while filming continues, adjust speed, or save the take and start again. Review, share, and save to Photos. Your script and controls never appear in the saved video. Record vertical or horizontal video, with 4K on supported cameras. KEEP THE SCRIPT IN FOCUS Read from a script-only screen. Tap to reveal controls, drag to find your place, adjust margins, and flip the text horizontally or vertically for your setup. Choose Steady, Timed, Manual, or supported on-device Voice following. CONTROL THE TAKE Connect nearby devices with an in-app approval flow. No OtterPrompt account is needed. Start or pause, adjust speed and text size, choose a script, jump to a cue, or hold the text while your presenter catches up. Approved devices can reconnect. Apple Watch and compatible game controllers give you more ways to drive. GET YOUR WORDS READY Write, paste, or import scripts through Files. Use iCloud or a shared folder available through Files. Remove blank lines with confirmation and undo. See word counts and estimated reading time, choose script and speaker-note colors, and add bracketed notes that become cues. Draft recovery, version history, and Recently Deleted help protect your work. RECORD AND RETAKE Record takes on supported devices, check your microphone level, and return to a marked cue for a retake. Review and export recordings, and create text, SRT, or VTT captions using Apple Speech recognition. MADE FOR YOUR SETUP Use a clean external display through a compatible cable or AirPlay. On supported devices, the optional writing assistant uses Apple's on-device language model to help prepare a draft.
