Your newsletters. Only the good parts. Undertow turns publications you choose into a short reading deck. Each card keeps the useful specifics, identifies its sources, and opens the original issue when a link is available. EXPLORE BEFORE CONNECTING Try the bundled sample deck without an account, Gmail connection, or subscription. It works offline. Read one card at a time: swipe right or tap Keep, swipe left or tap Skip, use Undo, and tap Read deeper for a fuller summary and source details. YOUR INBOX, YOUR CHOICE Sign in with Apple identifies your Undertow account. It does not connect Gmail or Apple Mail. For a personal deck, connect Gmail separately on your iPhone with a revocable Google app password. The app checks delivery headers locally for likely newsletters. You review and approve publications before their issue text can be sent to Undertow. Your Gmail address stays in the app's iPhone preferences; the app password stays in the iPhone Keychain. Neither is sent to Undertow. The Gmail connection cannot send, reply, delete, move, label, archive, or mark mail as read. A DECK, NOT A FEED No infinite scroll or padded card count. A deck reflects the approved issues available; on a quiet day there may be no cards. Keep and Skip help shape later decks. When the material supports it, cards can connect ideas across your approved sources. Undertow uses Anthropic to generate AI-assisted cards from approved newsletter text. Summaries can make mistakes; check the original issue for important details. SUBSCRIPTION The bundled sample deck is free. Reading personal decks may require a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription. The purchase screen shows the current price in your local currency, the billing period, and any introductory offer you are eligible for before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase or after an eligible free trial. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage your subscription or turn off auto-renew in Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
