Learning a trick is slow, and it is easy to lose track of how far you have come. Skate Tracker keeps the receipts. Mark a trick as landed, or as one you are working on, and the library opens up as you go — land an ollie and the tricks built on it appear. Nothing is handed to you. You unlock it by doing it. A GAME OF S.K.A.T.E. BUILT FROM WHAT YOU CAN DO The app sets tricks you have actually landed, so a game is always winnable and never a joke. Miss and you take a letter. Switch on street mode and it calls combos off the obstacles around you — kickflip down the 3 stair, 50-50 on the handrail. VIDEO MODE Film every attempt while you play. Keep the ones worth keeping and bin the rest — nothing is saved unless you say so, and the clips you keep go to your own Photos library. YOUR PROGRESS STAYS YOURS No account needed. The whole app works signed out, and your tricks, sessions and day streak sync privately through your own iCloud account. Nobody else can see them, including us. A CREW, IF YOU WANT ONE Sign in and you get a public profile: a username and three numbers — landed, working on, games won. Add a friend by scanning their code and you can see how they are getting on. Your crew can also see which tricks you have landed, which is what makes the next part work. Your footage never leaves your phone; sharing clips is deliberately not a feature. CALL SOMEONE OUT Play S.K.A.T.E. head to head against anyone in your crew. The game is built from the tricks you both have, so neither of you gets set something you have never landed. One skater sets, the other has to match, and the roll only changes hands on a miss. It runs on one phone, taking turns — pass it back and forth at the park, no signal needed once their tricks have come down.
