Never Stall: Level Up Habits

A habit tracker where the habit gets harder as you keep it. You tap to say you did it. That is the whole interaction. The difference from every other habit tracker is that a habit is not a fixed thing you either did or didn't. It sits on a ladder. Hit your target four days out of five and the target rises a step. Miss it and it comes back down, quietly, with nothing counted against you. Streaks answer "did you do it". Never Stall answers "are you getting better at it". THE LADDER Every quest starts at a target you can actually hit, measured from your own last fourteen days rather than guessed. Keep it and it climbs. A walk that started at 4,500 steps is at 8,000 by the time you stop noticing. Hold the top for one clean week and the quest tops out. It stays on your day as something you keep rather than something you raise. A CHARACTER MADE OF WHAT YOU DID Six stats, a level and a rank, and not one number rises without a habit behind it. Every completion feeds a stat, so the shape on your character sheet is a reading of your month rather than a score. Earn a talent point every level and spend it on a tree of ninety nodes, each one paying real XP on something you already do: the first quest you finish each day, a day with nothing left open, a ladder that advances. A Health quest ticks itself when the day's total reaches its target, so a walk you took with the app closed is already done when you open it. WHEN LIFE GETS IN THE WAY A freeze closes a day with nothing counted against it. Your streak holds and no ladder judges the day. A day freeze closes every quest at once, for the week you spend in bed. You earn freezes as you climb. If you run out, you can buy more. WHAT THIS DELIBERATELY IS NOT No social feed. No accounts.
