Plan your wedding. Know your budget. Find the right vendors. Hawsar is a Kurdish app for finding wedding venues and services, and planning your celebration. It opens straight onto Home: you can plan, work out your costs and browse vendors without an account. HOME • Set the date and we count the days for you. • The cost card shows one figure for what the wedding costs, worked out for 300 guests until you change it. Tap it to open the cost page. • "What needs arranging" lists what the wedding needs, from the venue to the invitation cards, each with an estimated price. • Tick a line when it is arranged, change its price, remove it or add your own. On a line for a type of vendor, tap "Find a vendor" to see the listings in that category. • Your date, costs and list are kept on your device. WHAT THE WEDDING COSTS • Enter the number of guests, the 21K gold in mithqals and the mahr. • See everything together in Iraqi dinars with the US dollar equivalent, split into the wedding, the gold and the mahr. • The page shows the dollar rate and the gold price per mithqal it uses, with the date of the gold price. When no gold price is available, it says so and leaves the gold out. • The prices on your list are Hawsar's own estimates, and you can change any of them. Vendors set the final price. VENDORS • Browse wedding service categories and the vendors listed in each. All listings are in Erbil. • Search vendors by name. • Filter a category by price, using its price ranges or a range you set. The nearest listings come first when you allow location. • Each vendor has one page: photos you can open full screen, the starting price and, where the vendor has added them, an introduction, services, offers with prices, video, working hours, location and Instagram. • Prices show in the currency the vendor entered, dinars or dollars. • Where the vendor has marked its location, get directions in Google Maps or Waze. MAP • See vendors that have added their location on a map, filter by category or search by name, and tap a pin for the price, contact buttons and directions. • Location is optional. Hawsar asks for it only on the Map tab, and without it the map opens on central Erbil. WEDDING GUIDE • Six stages of a wedding: court marriage, religious marriage, engagement, henna night, the wedding and haftiyana. • Each stage explains what happens and what to have ready, with links to the services it needs. WITH AN ACCOUNT Sign in with an Iraqi mobile number and a one-time code to: • Call or WhatsApp a vendor. Hawsar hands you to the phone dialler or to WhatsApp, and you talk to the vendor directly. If you have set a wedding date or guest count, the WhatsApp message starts with them, and you can edit it before sending. • Save vendors, tick "I booked them" to mark that line of your list as booked, and keep a note on each. • Write a review of a vendor you called or messaged through Hawsar. Reviews are checked before they appear. • Delete your account from the Account tab at any time. LANGUAGES Kurdish (Sorani), Arabic and English.
