Sorbus is a touch-first music workspace for iPad. Build a piece with musical blocks on one shared timeline, open any MIDI block for precise note editing, and keep the whole arrangement in view. Shape MIDI and audio side by side: - Arrange, move, repeat, and reshape blocks - Edit pitch, timing, length, and velocity in Piano Grid - Explore chord progressions and place voiced harmony directly into your piece - Build expressive rhythms in Groove Loom with ghost notes, push, pull, flams, ratchets, and chance - Record audio with the iPad microphone or a connected USB audio device - Connect MIDI, Bluetooth MIDI, and Audio Units through visual routing - Save and reopen Sorbus projects in Files, and export arrangement MIDI Bring your instruments closer with Studio's Gear Library: - Browse and import OP-1 Field drum kits, or send a current or saved Sorbus kit - Browse OP-XY samples, save supported native drum presets, and send Sorbus kits as native OP-XY presets - Preview and reorder 24 pads before sending, with new-name protection and complete transfer verification Gear Library requires a compatible USB connection and the instrument's MTP mode. Uploads support OP-1 Field firmware 1.7.3 and OP-XY firmware 1.1.25. Native OP-XY presets can be backed up or sent, but are not imported into editable Sorbus pads. An M-series iPad is not required. Sorbus is free to use with five complete lanes. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks all 16 lanes. There is no subscription, and project content in locked lanes stays intact. Designed for iPad in landscape. Requires iPadOS 18 or later.
