Callsong helps kids and grown-ups learn to sing in tune. A cartoon animal sings a short phrase and you sing it back. Right away, the screen shows which notes you hit and which ones were too high or too low. Before your first lesson, a range test that takes about a minute finds where your voice is comfortable, and every lesson is pitched from there. The lessons get harder as you improve, and each practice earns up to three stars. If you miss a note, the song keeps going. You're never stuck repeating the same line. Clover the sheep and Maisie the cow are free. Clover sings on "ah," and Maisie teaches Old MacDonald. Banjo the goat is included with Patron or Founding Flock. The app listens on your phone. Your voice is never recorded or uploaded. There's no account to create and there are no ads. All you need is the iPhone's built-in microphone and a fairly quiet room.
