choop – Your co-op, organised

Disclaimer: choop is currently invite-only while we work closely with our first co-ops to get it right. If your co-op is already on choop, your treasurer or secretary can invite you. choop is finance and admin for housing co-ops, built mobile-first by people living in UK co-ops for more than 30 years. Sign in is made easy with Apple or Google Single Sign On - We don't store any passwords. Make announcements, raise emergency requests which notifies people, get notified when safety checks or insurance are due, create votes, share documents, upload statements and have them auto-categorise each item on the ledger to provide visibility of spending and have your sensitive information dealt with securely. The app is split up into various categories: Meetings — a shared agenda anyone can add to, RSVPs, who actually attended, decisions and minutes, all searchable, downloadable as a PDF for one meeting or a whole year. Money — rent status for every member, the shared ledger, and bank statements read automatically into draft transactions your treasurer confirms before anything is recorded. Nothing is entered without a person approving it. Requests — raise a maintenance issue, a purchase request, or a complaint, and track it through to a decision. Complaints are only ever visible to whoever raised them and whoever is handling them. Documents — your co-op's rules, policies and records, organised and easy to find when a meeting needs them. PRIVATE WHERE IT MATTERS Complaints are visible only to you and the people handling them — never the whole co-op. Every co-op's records are kept completely separate from every other co-op's. Non-UK users: The app is open to people from all regions to use and is fully functional for all co-ops but is focused on running a co-op based on UK policies.
