Minaa: Harbor Town Builder

Mina is a quiet place to build. Tap the water and land rises out of the sea. Tap the land and a house appears, with its own roof, windows, door and chimney. Keep tapping and a harbour town grows around you: crooked streets, arched passages, bridges over the water, roof terraces with gardens on top. There is no score, no timer, no enemies and nothing to unlock. You build until it looks right. BUILD BY TAPPING • Tap water to raise a tile, tap land or a rooftop to stack the next block • Roofs, windows, doors, shutters, chimneys and balconies are all generated for you • Tap the side of an upper floor to float a room on arches, or span the water to make a bridge • Hold to remove. Undo and redo anything. A TOWN THAT FEELS LIVED IN • Townsfolk stroll between the plazas, cross the bridges and walk their dogs • Gulls circle overhead and perch on the roof ridges • Boats moor along the quays and rock on the waves • Fountains, benches, lamp posts, trees, palms and cypresses fill the squares TWENTY-FOUR SWATCHES, NOT JUST COLOURS • Thirteen house colours, from coral and sun to indigo and cream • Three stone tones that build castles instead, with battlements and slit windows • Eight civic buildings with architecture of their own: a police station, a café, a souk, an office, a hospital, a school, a gas station and a company headquarters. The café spills tables onto the plaza next door. The souk sets up stalls of produce on every open wall. The office gets glass curtain walls and air conditioners on the roof. SEVEN TOOLS • Build, Paint, Style, Terrain, Paths, Decor and Erase • Style cycles six roof shapes: hip, gable, turned gable, terrace, dome and automatic • Terrain raises hills that lift the houses with them, and slopes beaches into the sea • Stairs appear on their own between plazas of different heights WEATHER, SEASONS AND THE HOUR • Move from day to sunset to night: windows light up, lamps glow, the stars come out • Clear, rain with umbrellas out and gulls sheltering, autumn with leaves falling, and snow on every roof and bush • Flags, awnings, tree canopies and fountain spray move in the wind • Or let the day run by itself in a slow loop while you build SEE IT UP CLOSE • Photo mode hides the interface so you can frame a picture and share it • Walk mode drops you into your own streets at eye height, joystick to move, drag to look • Grow a Village Here builds a whole neighbourhood around the spot you are looking at, with a fountain, streets, a café, a souk, a hill and a beach KEEP EVERYTHING • Unlimited towns, each saved automatically with its own thumbnail • Towns mirror through iCloud between your iPhone and your iPad • Export any town as a 3D model that Blender and MeshLab open No ads.
