Marii Cards

Small shops often cannot give exact change — low-value coins and notes are scarce. Marii Cards is what happens to that change instead of it being lost or rounded away. When a shop owes you change, you can agree at the till to keep it as store credit under that shop's own name. Marii Cards is your view of it. WHAT YOU CAN DO • See every shop that holds credit for you, each on its own card • Follow the history — change added, credit spent, and what it was for • Show a code at the till to spend your credit • Get a notification the moment a shop saves change for you • See specials from the shops that hold your credit • Choose, shop by shop, whether to share your name and birthday, and which shops may send you offers • Set a PIN for your card, and report it lost from the app • Keep loyalty cards from any shop here too — scan one in and show it at that shop's till, without signing in • Ask for your personal data to be deleted HOW IT WORKS There is no sign-up here. A shop creates your account at its till, from your phone number. You sign in with that number and a 6-digit code sent by SMS. Your credit belongs to the shop that issued it and can only be spent there. It does not expire. The app is free and there is nothing to buy inside it. The code you show at the till is signed on your phone by a key that never leaves it, so nobody else can produce your code — not a shop, not us. It works without a signal. LOYALTY CARDS YOU ADD You can also keep loyalty cards from any shop in here. The camera reads the card's barcode and its colour while you add it — no photo is taken or kept — and the app redraws the code on screen for that shop's till. These cards stay on your phone. They are never sent to us, they hold no Marii credit, and we have no part in those shops' programmes. Some shops still ask for the plastic card, so keep it with you. Signing out, or asking us to delete your data, removes them from the phone.
