Description
Four glowing conduits. One hundred and five numbered Signals. One question every turn: where will yours land, and what will it cost you?
Pressure Lines is a strategy card game about reading a board that everyone is changing at the same time.
HOW IT PLAYS
Every operator secretly picks one Signal. All the picks reveal together, then resolve in ascending order — so a low Signal can reshape the board before a high one ever lands.
A Signal joins the Line whose last card is the nearest number below it. Not the shortest queue, not the emptiest Line — the tightest fit.
A Line holds five Signals safely. The sixth routed there overloads it, and whoever sent it takes all the Pressure sitting on that Line.
Play a Signal below every endpoint and you choose which Line to clear, take its Pressure, and start it fresh. That choice is a tool as much as a cost.
Lowest Pressure wins.
EASY TO LEARN, HARD TO READ
You will understand the rules in a minute. Predicting four other people who are choosing at the same moment takes considerably longer.
Every Line shows all six of its slots, so you can always see how close it is to going. Every Signal shows its weight three ways — the number, a symbol whose linked nodes you can count, and a five-slot gauge — so nothing depends on noticing a colour.
OPPONENTS THAT ACTUALLY THINK
Four difficulty levels, each a genuinely different way of deciding.
Casual plays loosely and dodges only the obvious traps. Smart scores every Signal in hand for immediate risk. Expert runs hundreds of simulations against the cards that could still be out there. Master does all that, then weighs its worst case and adjusts its risk to the scoreboard — protecting a lead late, taking chances when behind.
None of them cheat. Every opponent sees exactly the public information you do.
Eight operators with their own temperaments sit across the table: balanced Nova, conservative Atlas, risk-seeking Pixel, unpredictable Echo, and four more. Personality shifts how they weigh a decision without ever overriding their skill.
TWO SHAPES OF GAME
Quick — one round, then results. Nine turns, about five minutes, nothing to set up.
Full match — rounds keep dealing until someone reaches the Pressure limit, which you set from 50 up to 150.
Tables seat two to eight opponents. A bigger table means more Signals resolving per turn, so the board moves further between your choices.
PLAY ONLINE
Match with friends or with anyone through Game Center. Any seat nobody joins is filled by a computer operator, so a table starts as soon as one other person is in — no waiting around for a full lobby.
If someone drops, the match keeps going. Their seat is taken over rather than ending the game for everyone else.
PLAYS ANYWHERE
The whole game works offline. No account, no sign-in, no network, no tracking, no ads. Your statistics stay on your device. Leave mid-match and it picks up exactly where you left off.
BUILT TO BE USED
VoiceOver reads the board, the hands and every event, including the ones that are otherwise only visual. Text scales with Dynamic Type. Every colour pairing clears WCAG AA contrast. Reduce Motion is respected, animation speed is adjustable, and sound and haptics each have their own switch.
Route the signals. Hold the pressure.
