Allow local weather once and Morrowseam refreshes it when you open the app, then checks again about every five minutes while the app stays open. When the app is closed, Companion Window follows the last saved hourly forecast until Morrowseam refreshes again. Open the app whenever you want the freshest current report. Sudden or very local changes can be missed; if a shower outside is absent from the automatic report, tap It's raining here for a clearly labelled one-hour correction shared with the widget.
