Omi Reader reads what you meant to get back to. Send a page from Safari, open one in the built-in browser, or share a PDF from Files. Omi Reader extracts the article - not menus, cookie banners, or newsletter pop-ups - and reads it aloud using a voice already installed on your iPhone. FOLLOW ALONG (OR DON’T) The sentence being spoken is highlighted, so a glance shows you where you are. Look away and it keeps going. Come back tomorrow and it resumes on the exact sentence you stopped at. THREE WAYS IN - Safari extension - tap it in the address bar and choose "Read in the app". - Built-in browser - for pages behind logins, where sharing just leads back to the sign-in screen - PDFs and shared text - from Files, or from any app's share sheet PDFs are cleaned up on the way in: headers, page numbers, and words split across line breaks are repaired so the reading doesn't stumble over formatting. THE VOICES ON YOUR PHONE Omi Reader uses the voices iOS already provides, including enhanced voices you can download in Accessibility settings. If you've created a Personal Voice, it appears at the top - your own voice, generated and stored on your device by iOS. Reading happens on-device, so listening works with no connection at all. Importing a web page requires internet; listening doesn't. THREE LOOKS Room is warm paper and a reading serif. Loud uses hard borders and orange. Night is near-black with a lime accent for reading after the lights go off. The highlight can underline, sit behind the text as a block, or be turned off. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT ISN'T Text-to-speech can mispronounce names and misread abbreviations. Article extraction may occasionally miss a pull quote or reorder a caption. For anything where accuracy matters - medical, legal, financial - read the original.
