HHTraff turns your iPhone into a handheld terminal for field technicians working on traffic signal controllers. Built for the people who actually open the cabinet, HHTraff replaces the dedicated handheld terminal you've been carrying to every site — with full session logging and terminal emulation in a device that's already in your pocket. CONTROLLER COMPATIBILITY HHTraff is designed to work with TC4 SCATS traffic controllers, which are widely deployed across Australia and New Zealand. Confirmed working: • TC4 SCATS controllers • Swarco TC3 controllers • Tyco controllers • ATC controllers Not supported: • QTC controllers — due to limitations in the QTC hardware itself, HHTraff cannot establish a working session with these units. This is not something the app can work around. If you're unsure which controller type you're working with, check before purchasing. BLUETOOTH ADAPTER REQUIRED HHTraff communicates with your controller over Bluetooth. A separate serial Bluetooth adapter is required — this is not included with the app and must be purchased separately. We recommend the IRXON BT580 serial Bluetooth adapter. This is the unit we test against, and the one we can support directly if you run into connection issues. Your adapter connects to the controller's serial port and pairs with your iPhone. Without a compatible adapter, HHTraff has no way to reach the controller. TERMINAL EMULATION • Full terminal emulation • Full scrollback history for reviewing long sessions • On-screen keyboard with the function keys the controller expects — Menu, Prom, Ram, and cursor navigation • Enter and Backspace behaviour to match your controller's expectations SESSION CAPTURE AND LOGGING Every session can be captured to a timestamped log file, so you have a record of what you did and what the controller told you. • Manual capture — start and stop logging whenever you need • Automatic capture — the controller can trigger logging itself, tagged with the intersection ID • Files named by date, time, and intersection for easy retrieval later • Crash-safe writing — every line is committed immediately, so an interrupted session still leaves you a usable log • Fault and error log dumps are detected automatically and captured in full BUILT FOR FIELD CONDITIONS HHTraff works entirely on your device. There's no account to create, no cloud sync, and no internet connection required to use it — which matters when you're in a cabinet at the side of a road with no signal. Your session logs stay on your iPhone. We don't collect them, upload them, or analyse them. SUBSCRIPTION HHTraff is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.
