KITH Schweiz

KITH is a private voice rehearsal for the conversations a new place asks of you. Choose the conversation, meet the person who stays in role, and say it out loud — in the language of the place — before you say it for real. Start with one of three ready conversations: getting something explained again at work, setting a limit on your workload, talking to your child's teacher. Or describe your own in a sentence. You see who you are talking to, how she is in this scene and roughly how long it takes, and one press starts it. When you get stuck, stop time. The rehearsal helper — outside the scene, never inside it — says what was actually said and what is not yet known, and offers one sentence you could say, with what it means. Hear it, say it back to check it, ask her something out loud. Then go back into the conversation in your own words. You leave with the sentences worth keeping, one thing to try next time, and the same conversation again whenever you want it. No score. KITH does not speak to anyone as you, does not tell you what somebody is thinking, and does not score belonging. Nothing here is a judgement about you. Also here: Break the glass, a live interpreter for a counter where a real conversation has stopped working; and Decoder, for a letter or a sentence you did not understand, which gives you several readings and their sources rather than a verdict. Speaking is the product, so the microphone is required for a rehearsal. Rehearsal speech is not recorded and no transcript of it is kept. What you save in Decoder is yours, is readable by nobody else in your household, and can be deleted — with your whole account — from inside the app. The Privacy page states the current handling, retention and deletion behaviour. KITH is open to everyone — sign in and start, no invitation needed. The ready scenes are written for Switzerland; choose another country and the conversation switches to its language.
