Column Sums

Column Sums is a quiet logic puzzle built around seven vertical columns. You receive a predetermined sequence of numbers, one after another, and place each value into a column. When every number is placed, the total in each column must equal the target shown above it. Each level presents a new sequence and a set of targets. You cannot reorder numbers freely; you must decide where each incoming value belongs while watching column height limits in later chapters. The puzzle is entirely deterministic. There is a valid arrangement, and your task is to find it through reasoning rather than guesswork. The app includes forty-two handcrafted levels organized into three chapters. Difficulty grows as sequences lengthen and placement rules tighten. Complete a level without using the column highlight helper to earn up to three stars. After finishing, review a step-by-step solution breakdown to understand how the column totals were reached. Your progress, star ratings, and completed puzzle journal are stored locally on your device. A play streak calendar marks days you opened the app, and a progress vault summarizes accuracy metrics across chapters. An onboarding flow introduces the rules, and a dedicated guide explains column sums and height limits in plain language. Column Sums works fully offline. There are no accounts, advertisements, in-app purchases, push notifications, or network connections. Audio feedback can be toggled in settings. The visual style uses bold column panels reminiscent of vintage display boards, while the gameplay stays a calm number-placement puzzle with clear, fixed outcomes.
