PhanPic is a pocket illustration workstation that lives on your phone. —— No discovery waterfall. No login wall. No brush-store shelf. Open the app and your last canvas is right there. —— Who it's for —— Age 18–32. Knows how to draw, or is learning. Only has a phone in bed, on the subway, in a café. May take commissions, paint avatars, sketch sticker lineart, draft characters. Knows what a layer is. Won't open a laptop just to make one image. —— Tools float as ice glass above the paper —— The top capsule, four wells, and sliders are all neumorphic glass — translucent, double-shadowed, with a lit edge. Phantom Teal only lights things up: the primary button, the active layer, sliders, the new-canvas round. Paper is real paper. —— Hide on touch: the moment a finger or stylus touches down, the chrome fades out. The canvas is the only light source. ~400 ms after the stroke ends, the tools roll back in. —— The finger is a first-class citizen —— Stabilization tuned for finger by default — three levels: Off / Finger / Firm. Finger is the default. Three-finger tap to redo. Two-finger tap to undo. —— Long-press to sample — a loupe pops up; release drops the color onto the dew bead. —— QuickShape — hold one stroke after finishing; it snaps to a straight line, circle, ellipse, or rectangle. —— Stabilization, layers, fill — all the way —— Layers, visibility, opacity, reorder, clipping mask, merge down. Blend modes: Normal / Multiply / Screen / Overlay. —— Lasso and rectangle selection; move, scale, rotate; tap to fill, press-drag to set threshold. —— 50-step undo. Continuous auto-save. If the process is killed, you reload to the last successful flush — a canvas is not a one-shot session. —— Phantom layers: references as ghosts —— Import a photo as a reference. One global opacity slider controls the ghost; flip horizontal / lock position. —— Doesn't enter export, doesn't enter fill, doesn't pollute the layer stack — it's one slider, not one row. —— Dew — the color picker —— A round hue / saturation / value picker, not a rectangular Photoshop picker. On a phone, round follows the thumb. —— Eight recent swatches, two built-in palettes (Basics 12 / Skin 12), up to 24 in your palette, hex input. —— Phantom Draw — a separate image workbench —— Prompt, style suffix, aspect-ratio chips, 1 / 2 / 4 outputs, one reference image, prompt polish. —— Results can be dropped onto a new canvas, used as a ghost, or shared via the system Share Sheet. —— The hand-drawn workspace never auto-paints.
