Scout - Property Capture

Scout turns a site visit into structured data — in one pass, on site. Property assessors arrive with a tape measure, a phone camera roll and a questionnaire on paper. The measurements get transcribed later, the photos lose track of which room and which appliance they showed, and a missing answer only surfaces back at the desk — when the only fix is a second visit. Scout captures all of it together, and checks it before you leave. MEASURE Walk the home once. Scout uses the iPhone's LiDAR scanner to build a floor plan as you go — walls, doors, windows and openings, in metres — then derives each room and its area from the wall network. Room sizes land within a few percent of a tape measure, without a tape measure. PHOTOGRAPH Work through a checklist of the shots the assessment actually needs, with the required ones first. Take them on the spot or pick from your library. Photos snapped during the scan are assigned to the room you were standing in. ASK Answer the questionnaire on site, while you can still look at the thing you're describing. Questions adapt as you go, so you only see what applies to this home. FINISH Scout tells you what's still missing before you leave, then uploads everything together. Interrupted mid-capture? Every step is saved as you go, so you can close the app, take a call, or lose signal and pick up exactly where you left off.
