Stemmata: Research Library

Keep your research sources, notes and citations together in Stemmata. Import a library or find journal articles through Crossref by title, author or topic. Online searches run when you start them. Crossref receives your query and IP address; your library and notes are not sent with the search. Save the sources you choose and search your saved library offline. Write notes alongside each source and return to them when you reopen the app. Export citations as BibTeX or RIS, or create a Markdown copy with your notes. Explore citation connections in a readable list with titles, years and access labels, or switch to a graph. Connections come from the records in your library. Stemmata also shows how many cited works are missing from the view. Access labels reflect information supplied by source records. They do not confirm that you hold a paper's full text or establish permission to use it. Back up your sources, citation links and complete note history in a JSON file. PDFs are not included. Review the source and note counts before restoring into a fresh, empty library without saved notes or retained history; existing data is never replaced.
