Sum Strike: Maths Football

Sum Strike is a football penalty shootout for kids, where the maths is the aim. The goal is split into five targets, and each one holds a sum. Answer correctly and the target opens, so you can shoot there. Get it wrong and it shuts. There is always at least one left, so the penalty always gets taken — but the better you calculate, the more goal you have to aim at. TWELVE TOPICS, EACH AT ITS OWN LEVEL Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, negative numbers, order of operations, equations, geometry and statistics. Every topic carries its own level, so a child can be strong on times tables and still practise fractions without being handed questions that are too hard. The questions follow the school years from Year 2 to Year 11 and adjust after every single answer. THE MISTAKES ARE NOT RANDOM Every wrong option is produced by actually making one specific mistake — a dropped carry, a decimal point one place out, a percentage taken of the wrong base.
