Officiate Throws Events with your laser. Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, etc. If you officiate throws events (shot put, discus, javelin, hammer, weight) and you want to use a "point-to-point" laser system, this is your App. The free version (Quick Measure) is very simple - the laser sends point-to-point readings to the App (center of the throwing circle to the landing spot), the App automatically does the radius subtraction and displays the results in both meters and feet/inches. Results are properly truncated to cm, quarter inch, or inch as required by the selected event. The PRO version does this, plus lets you build flights, scan entry sheets, run the event by flight, run finals, and save and export results if you want. Or you can just measure. You don't need a clipboard if you have the PRO version! And don't worry, results are saved continuously, so even if power dies half way through you pick up where you were when you power back up. I have used this with both Leica Disto X4 and X6. Any laser that can send its measurements to an iPhone by Bluetooth should work.
