The Chamber has been in the vanguard of Orissa's Industrial resurgence. Throughout its journey spanning 58 years, the Chamber has maintained its bow steady, undaunted by the challenges of time. Expertise gained in varying aspects of Industry & Trade over the years, has made Chamber a consultative forum, for formulation and implementation of policy guidelines by the Government both in Centre and State from time to time. Chamber is represented in 42 forums of Government in advisory and statutory capacity. An enviable strength of 1000 members reflects the commitment and efficiency of the Chamber in fulfilling its cherished objectives and its commitment and concern for the constituents. In the pink of its achievement Chamber is all geared up to address the needs of the emergent and emerging trends through betterment, innovations, and ingenuity in management and technology of its constituents. While serving its primary objectives with dedication and galvanizing the interests of the members for a better tomorrow, the Chamber has set its goal to serve the community, through dispensation of its social responsibilities too. The Utkal Chamber of Commerce & Industry Ltd (UCCIL) as an Apex body of Industry, Trade, Commerce & Service Sectors, Banks & Individual professionals of the State reflects the views, perceptions and interests of its constituents in a proactive and constructive manner, within its own community as well as the Government and various other agencies. It is well respected for its balanced and studied approach in matters pertaining to development of trade and industry, promotion of government-industry inter-linkages and for pursuing sensible economic policies.The Chamber has a large number of exporting and importing members like Hindalco Industries Ltd., MMTC Ltd., OMC, IFFCO, Tata Steel Ltd., JSL, JSPL, Paradeep Phosphates Ltd., NALCO etc. and also a number of Seafood and Mineral Exporting Units.
