Coast: Smooth Ride Coach

Coast is a riding coach for scooters and cars, and now a navigator. It records your ride, scores how smoothly you rode out of 100, shows you on a map where the rough moments happened, and gives turn-by-turn directions while it keeps scoring. Smooth riding is cheaper riding: every hard brake throws away speed you already paid for, in charge or in fuel. How it works 1. Tap Start Ride and pick what you are riding. A scooter and a car brake very differently, so each is judged against its own thresholds. 2. Ride. Coast records with GPS and the phone's motion sensors. 3. Tap Stop Ride. Your ride is scored, mapped and saved. Navigate while Coast coaches Search for a place, or tap one on the map, and Coast Pro gives turn-by-turn directions on Apple Maps: the next turn with its arrow, the one after it, a live ETA and the distance left. Start directions and Coast offers to record the ride too, so the same trip gets guided and scored at once. Rides remember where they went: the destination shows in History and on the ride's map. Lock your phone and keep riding A ride you start keeps recording with your phone locked, or while you use another app, until you tap Stop Ride. Coast asks for location only While Using the App, never Always. Coast does not end a ride by itself, and a ride is saved when you stop it. When no ride is running, nothing is recorded. Your score One number out of 100, from your hard brakes and hard launches, how far you rode, and how firmly you rode the rest of the time. If a ride was too short to judge, or the tracking too patchy to trust, Coast says so instead of showing a number. What is free For every ride Coast can measure: the score, your route with each hard brake and hard launch pinned where it happened, how many rough moments there were, and roughly how much range they cost you. Your three newest rides stay in History. Older rides are kept on your phone, not deleted. Coast Pro Directions: search, turn-by-turn guidance and a live ETA while Coast keeps scoring, plus Look Around where Apple has it. Coaching after every ride: which habit cost you points and what to change, with a breakdown of the ride and a speed graph. Coaching across your rides: which habit costs you most, your toughest ride, and how steady you are. Trends: whether your riding is improving, holding steady or slipping once you have five scored rides, and your best score to beat. Full history and ride replay: every ride, not just the newest three, and any ride played back on the map. The Pro map: tilt with 3D buildings, satellite view and live traffic. Coast Pro is a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, with prices shown in the app before you buy. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends, and your account is charged within 24 hours before that. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings. Your rides and your privacy There is no account and no sign up, and Coast has no server of its own. Your rides are never sent to us. Rides, routes and raw sensor logs are stored in the app's storage on your iPhone, which is part of your device backup. You can export your ride logs with the share sheet, and delete one ride or all of them in the app. The map is Apple Maps. Searching a place or asking for directions sends those coordinates to Google (search and routes) or Apple (Look Around) to answer that request, and nothing else. Purchases go through Apple. RevenueCat checks your Pro status each time Coast opens, under an anonymous ID. If you turn notifications on, OneSignal receives a push ID for this phone and a few facts so messages are relevant: your latest score, ride counts, trend and vehicle. Your routes and location are never part of that.
