Every verse is a cipher. Each letter has turned into a number, and the same number always hides the same letter. Find one and the rest starts to fall. Solve five verses from a chapter and its engraving opens — a full plate by Gustave Doré, the artist who illustrated scripture for the nineteenth century. Twenty plates in all: the Creation, the Ark, the Tower of Babel, Jacob and the angel, the parting of the sea, the trials of Job, Daniel in the lions' den, Jonah and the great fish, the Sermon on the Mount, the Last Supper. On iPad a plate fills the screen, close to the size it was printed at. 108 verses from the World English Bible, ordered so the first ones open easily and the last ones make you earn them. HOW IT PLAYS • Tap a letter to set it.
