Speakate

Speakate is a daily voice practice. One short session a day, already chosen for you, to build a steadier, clearer, more confident speaking voice. Most voice advice is a pile of tips you never act on. Speakate gives you one thing at a time: today's session, four to eight minutes, then you close the app. WHAT YOU PRACTICE Twenty-one drills across six modules, in the order a coach would teach them: - Breath Control - the engine. Everything else sits on top of this. - Relaxation and Resonance - let the body go, then find where the voice rings. - Pausing and Pacing - slow down, and let a silence do the work. - Articulation - crisp edges. Every word arrives whole. - Volume and Projection - louder from support, never from the throat. - Pitch Variety and Tonal Control - kill the monotone and control the tone. Repetition is the method. You do the same small set of drills every day for a week or two before the next module opens, because that is how a voice actually changes. ORDERED AROUND YOUR PROBLEM Tell Speakate what trips you up and the modules reorder so yours comes earlier. Nothing is added, removed or shortened, and nothing is locked. THEN AND NOW At the start you record two short takes. Later you record them again and play the two side by side, so you can hear your own change. BUILT TO KEEP YOU GOING Streaks, points and milestones for the days you show up. One session at a time, so you are never staring at a list of twenty-one things. VOICE NUDGES Optional reminders through the day, each a different tip. "Start the first sentence lower." "Pause instead of saying um." Off until you turn them on. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Recordings are saved on your phone and never uploaded. The pace check counts your words on the device itself to work out your speaking speed; the audio and the words never leave your phone.
