Skynine Playbook

A modern take on sudoku that ditches the yellowed-newspaper look and drops the classic puzzle into a bright cartoon urban world. Five variants ship together in one clean playbook. The classic nine-by-nine grid is here for the purists. There is a six-by-six mini for a short session on a lunch break. Killer sudoku brings sum-cages for players who want a step further. Sudoku X adds the two diagonals as unique constraints. And Icon sudoku swaps the digits one through nine for nine cartoon urban glyphs — a kite, a cloud, a balloon, a crane, a helicopter, a skyscraper, a bird, an umbrella, a sun — so the puzzle plays exactly the same but reads as something else entirely. Three modes give the same puzzles different flavour. Journey mode takes the player across twelve modern cities from Tokyo to New York to Cape Town, one puzzle per level, difficulty rising as the cities pass. Free Play lets the player pick any variant and any difficulty in two taps for an instant fresh puzzle. Daily hands one hand-picked puzzle a day, the same one for every player, seeded by the calendar so today's Skynine matches your friend's today's Skynine. Puzzles are generated fresh every time. There is no bundled level pack to run out of — the algorithm produces a unique valid puzzle whenever the player wants one, at whichever of the four difficulty tiers they choose.
