Every Odd Signal case begins with a choice: how closely do you want to inspect the evidence? Build a four-sector investigation route, then find the one visual signal that breaks the active rule. Your route changes the board itself—not just its name or color—so the same case can demand a different kind of observation on another run. CHOOSE HOW TO INVESTIGATE • WIDE FIELD uses a smaller board and clearer anomaly contrast for 90% scoring. • TRACE MODE balances board density, contrast, and standard scoring. • DEEP SIGNAL uses denser evidence and subtler differences for a 35% score bonus. • Lock one protocol before each six-round sector and preserve all four choices in your final route record. RESOLVE THE ANOMALY • COLOR — find the signal with a different hue. • SHAPE — spot the tile that breaks the pattern. • DIRECTION — identify the arrow pointing another way. • COUNT — find the different number of dots. • There is no countdown: inspect carefully, learn from a miss, and continue the case. COMPARE THE SAME EVIDENCE • Start a 2–4 player Signal Battle through Apple Game Center. • Invite friends or use Apple matchmaking. • Every participant receives the same fixed 24-round sequence for a fair comparison. • Live standings compare score, quality, and active time after every solved anomaly. • Finish on the Battle Board, share the result, or start a rematch. OPEN THE CASE ARCHIVE • Today's Case uses date-addressed evidence with your own four-sector route. • The Case Archive contains 1,000 deterministic investigations and 24,000 anomaly rounds across six levels. • NEXT CASE moves directly into a fresh investigation without locking the finished board. • Local crash-safe progress restores the exact round, score, mistakes, and pending route decision. PLAY WITH PURPOSE • Practice observation, pattern recognition, and flexible rule switching through the actual mechanic. • Play one case as a short mental reset, or continue through the archive at your own pace. • Unwind without forced waiting, artificial urgency, or a countdown. • Review score, accuracy, time, rule evidence, and the route that produced the result. PLAY AND PURCHASES • Solving a board and every Signal Battle stay free of automatic ads. • In Today's Case and Case Archive, an ad may appear when you choose the next six-task sector or select NEXT CASE, after at least three solved tasks and three minutes of active play. The first task is ad-free, ads are at least ten minutes apart, and at most two appear per app session. • An unavailable ad never blocks your next board. Tracking permission is optional. • Settings offers a one-time Remove All Ads purchase and Restore Purchases.
