About
The Quiet Archive is a food journal for people who want a record, not a scoreboard. Photograph a meal. The exact time is kept, because when you ate is often more interesting than what. A nutrition estimate comes back in a few seconds, and you can correct it or ignore it entirely. WHAT IT DOES • Photograph a meal and get an estimated name and nutrition breakdown • Scan a barcode on packaged food, or search by name • Add entries by hand, with fully editable timestamps • See your timeline, your eating window, and how your days actually run • Export everything as a single file, any time PRIVATE BY DEFAULT There is no account and no sign-in. Your entries and photos are written to your phone's private storage. There are no ads, no analytics SDK, and no trackers. Deleting the app deletes the archive — export is the backup, and it is one tap in Settings. When you photograph a meal, that one image is sent to our analysis service, which uses Google Gemini to identify the food. The image is never stored and is not used to train anything. Barcode scans and food searches query Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central. Nothing else leaves your phone. FREE, AND GENEROUSLY SO Barcode scanning, food search, manual entry, editable times, the timeline and the insights are unlimited and always free. Photo analysis is the one thing that costs us money per use, so it comes with 50 free analyses. When those run out, logging still works — the photo and the exact time are still saved. QUIET ARCHIVE PREMIUM Premium removes the cap on photo analysis and supports a small, ad-free, tracker-free app. Nutrition figures are estimates drawn from public food databases and automated photo suggestions that you confirm. They are informational only and are not medical advice. PRIVACY POLICY https://smartybytes.ca/quietarchive-privacy TERMS OF USE https://smartybytes.ca/quietarchive-termsRead more
