ZORIA Sky

The sky keeps two appointments a day. ZORIA tells you which ones are worth the trip. A SCORE, NOT A PROMISE ZORIA computes a 0-100 rating for every sunrise and every sunset, from Apple Weather data read at the exact hour of the event: low, mid and high cloud, humidity, visibility, chance of precipitation. The model is deliberately simple and openly stated. Mid and high clouds are the canvas that catches the light — the optimum sits around 50 % cover, because an empty sky has nothing to colour and an overcast sky has nothing to light. Low clouds cut the light at its source: they are what ruins a sunset. A sky forecast at 85 can disappoint. A sky forecast at 40 can surprise you. That is weather, and ZORIA does not pretend otherwise. EXACT TIMES, COMPUTED ON YOUR PHONE Sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour, solar azimuth. All computed astronomically on the device, to the minute, with no connection required. TEN DAYS OF FORECAST, FREE FOR EVERYONE Every day shows its score, its golden window and its event time. Set your alert threshold and hear from ZORIA only when it is worth it — at a threshold of 90 you will hear almost nothing. That is the point. THE WORLD, LIVE A globe shows the real position of the sun and the lit face of the Earth. Spin it, see where the sun is setting right now, and follow the next sunsets city by city. YOUR PHOTOS, TIED TO THEIR SKY Shoot from inside the app: every image keeps the score, the place and the moment it was taken. Your album stays on your phone — except the photos you choose to publish yourself. THE GALLERY Publish your finest skies and look at other people's — each one carrying the score and the conditions that produced it. Every photo is reviewed before it appears. You can make a photo private again at any time: it is then erased from our servers. Browsing the gallery requires no account. THE EVENING LOG Record what you actually saw. ZORIA compares your notes against its forecasts and computes how often it was right. You will know exactly how much to trust it. PASSPORT AND STREAK The time zones you have crossed, and the consecutive days you came out for the light. WHAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE Your places, your log, your streak, your settings and your album stay on your device. Only one thing ever goes elsewhere, and only if you decide it should: the photo you choose to publish. No tracker, no ad network, no analytics. To retrieve the weather, ZORIA sends a pair of coordinates rounded to the kilometre, with no identifier attached. Publishing requires an account, created with Sign in with Apple. ZORIA keeps only a pen name — not your name, not your address. You can delete it from inside the app, and everything you published goes with it.
