Optional AI transcription and summaries use an OpenAI API key you provide and communicate directly with OpenAI. iCloud sync uses your private CloudKit database. Some features require compatible hardware, iCloud, microphone access, or an OpenAI API key. Phone calls and other exclusive audio sessions can temporarily take control of the microphone; Recorded preserves your work and resumes safely when possible.
