AlertKick is server security and uptime monitoring built for small teams that do not have a separate SOC, NOC, and on-call platform - one agent, one dashboard, one escalation pipeline. The AlertKick app puts it in your pocket: view and acknowledge alerts, check monitors, hosts, and security events, and get push notifications when something needs a human. Security. A lightweight eBPF agent for Linux watches what actually happens on the host: process execution, file integrity (kernel-level, not periodic scans), rootkit indicators, YARA matches, and SSH activity - logins, failed-attempt auto-blocking, and a maintenance lock for SSH during change windows. Detections are mapped to MITRE ATT&CK techniques, and built-in AI triage separates the events that matter from the noise, with a written verdict and reasoning attached to each alert. Uptime. External monitors check websites and services from outside the network: HTTP, TCP, and DNS checks, response-time thresholds, SSL certificate expiry, and domain expiry straight from registry RDAP data. Heartbeat monitors catch silent failures in cron jobs and backups. Public status pages keep users informed during incidents. Alerting that ends with a human. Escalation policies, on-call rosters, and delivery over push notification, email, Slack, Telegram, WhatsApp, SMS, and phone calls - so a critical alert that goes unacknowledged escalates instead of scrolling away in a channel. Change tracking. Every change on a host is recorded and attributed - who changed what, when, and whether it was authorized - which doubles as compliance evidence. Business plans include compliance reporting (PCI DSS, SOX and more) generated from the same data. Setup is a one-line install per server, and the free plan covers uptime monitors and heartbeats.
