Every object has something to say. Kida helps children find out what. Point your iPhone at anything around the house a mug, a shoe, a teddy bear and tap it. Kida recognises the object, gives it a of eyes and a mouth, and brings it to life right there on your screen. Then it starts talking. MEET THE CHARACTERS Kida decides who each object is. A toolbox might turn out to be The Boss, confident and in charge. A pair of trainers might be The Cool, playful and full of energy. A soft blanket could be The Caregiver, warm and comforting. Every object gets a personality that suits it, so the same room can be full of completely different friends. ASK ANYTHING Children can speak to the object and it answers back in its own voice. "What are you for?" "Where do you come from?" "Are you heavy?" The object replies in character, in language written for young ears curious, gentle and easy to follow. BUILD A COLLECTION Every object your child meets is saved to their collection, with its photo, name and story. It becomes a growing scrapbook of the ordinary things around them, and a lovely record of what they were curious about this week. GENTLE BY DESIGN Kida is built for small children. There are no accounts to create, no adverts, no in-app purchases and nobody else to talk to. When Kida recognises something that needs care something hot, sharp or electrical the object becomes The Cautious, calmly reminding the child to ask a grown-up first. Never frightening, always reassuring. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Kida uses the camera to see objects and the microphone so your child can ask questions. To understand what it is looking at and to speak in a natural voice, Kida sends images and text to trusted services.
