SmartScanz

SmartScanz finds and identifies devices on your Wi‑Fi. Run a scan and see phones, computers, TVs, printers, cameras, and smart-home gear with a friendly name, IP address, and MAC address when iOS can provide it. WHAT YOU GET • Full local network scan using Bonjour, multicast discovery, and a subnet sweep • Device names and types instead of a raw IP list • IP and MAC addresses on each device card • My Network: Wi‑Fi name, local IP, gateway, and cellular details • Device Info about the iPhone or iPad you’re using • Optional alerts when a new device appears on your home network • Email or export your device list HOW IT WORKS SmartScanz stays on your local network. It listens for Bonjour and SSDP/UPnP, checks which addresses respond, and reads neighbor MAC addresses from the on-device tables. A full scan takes about 35–55 seconds so quieter devices have a better chance of being found and named. REQUIREMENTS • Connect to Wi‑Fi • Allow Local Network access when asked • Allow Location While Using so SmartScanz can read the Wi‑Fi network name SmartScanz cannot see every device. Quiet, sleeping, or guest-network devices may not appear. MAC addresses can show as Unavailable if iOS never observed that neighbor.
