Smart Sail Scanner

Requires Smart Sail hardware. Do not install this app unless you have Smart Sail sensors. Smart Sail Scanner is a development and service tool, not a consumer app. It exists to read Smart Sail sensors - small devices bonded permanently to a sail, which record how that sail is used. Without a Smart Sail sensor within Bluetooth range, the app shows an empty list and can do nothing else. There is no demo mode, no sample data and nothing to try. Smart Sail sensors are not sold through this app and are not available from it. If you do not already have one, this app is of no use to you. WHAT IT DOES, IF YOU HAVE SENSORS • Lists every Smart Sail sensor in range, with signal strength, battery state and whether it has been set up • Reads each sensor in range on its own, so the list shows every sensor's time in use and tack count without opening it • Opens a sensor to show the log it has recorded: time in use, flogging time, port and starboard tack time, number of tacks, inclination, UV exposure, temperature and peak G • Keeps readings on the iPhone that took them WHO IT IS FOR Sailmakers, riggers and service engineers working with Smart Sail equipment, and anyone diagnosing a sensor in the field. PRIVACY No account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no location. The only thing the app sends is a sensor's identifier, so it can fetch the key needed to decode that sensor's readings. Readings stay on your iPhone: they are not uploaded, not backed up to iCloud, and not transferred to a new iPhone.
