Asphalt in the sun can get 20 °C (36 °F) or more hotter than the air, and it stays hot after sunset because it stores the day's heat. Pawvement estimates the pavement temperature hour by hour from sun, cloud, wind and the last 24 hours of weather. It also estimates the heat load on your dog (WBGT, adjusted for your dog's profile), and turns both into a time: walk before this time in the morning, or from this time in the evening.
