About

Private Album keeps your photos and videos behind a passcode, so you can store and organize them in one private place. Everything you add is encrypted and stored inside this app. Your private photo and video library Pick photos and videos with the system photo picker. The app never asks for access to your whole photo library. Organize them into albums and sort by date added, date taken, or your own custom order. Pinch to change the number of columns. Duplicates are skipped automatically. Large imports keep running even if you switch to another app. Save from the Share menu Share photos and videos from apps such as Files and save them straight into your albums. Unlock with your passcode before saving. Passcode and biometrics Set a 4-digit or 6-digit passcode, and unlock with your fingerprint or other biometrics. The app locks as soon as you leave it. Its screens are hidden from screenshots, screen recordings and the Recent apps list (this also means you can't take screenshots inside the app). Fake vault A separate vault to show others, opened with a different passcode. Intruder photos When "Take an intruder photo" is on, the front camera takes a photo after two incorrect passcodes in a row and saves it only on this device. Camera access is required. Back up to Google Drive Back up your photos, videos and albums, still encrypted, to your own Google Drive (in a private app folder). Restore them with the same Google Account after changing devices or reinstalling. Up to 10 dated backups are kept, so you can go back to a point before something was deleted. A Google Account and enough storage are required. Premium The free version includes up to 500 photos and videos and 10 albums. A one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription, removes ads and lifts both limits. Device and Google Drive storage still apply. Good to know - The app never deletes the original photos and videos you add. To remove the originals, delete them in your photos app. - Uninstalling the app deletes the photos and videos inside it. Back up first. - If you forget your passcode, tap "Forgot your passcode?" on the lock screen to recover with biometrics or a Google Drive backup. If neither is available, your photos cannot be recovered. - We never send your photos to our servers. The free version shows ads.
