EcoCash Super App

EcoCash, Zimbabwe’s leading mobile money service, is introducing the new and improved EcoCash App, the go-to mobile app for managing your money. The app allows users to do more on EcoCash in a fast, intuitive and convenient way, including the ability to: i. send and receive money instantly into a mobile wallet; ii. transact using QR codes; iii. cash out or withdraw funds at various locations across Zimbabwe; iv. pay bills, including utilities, subscriptions and other payments, with ease; v. pay school fees and church contributions, and buy airtime or bundles for yourself or others; vi. make secure payments at thousands of retailers and merchants; vii. access the Kashagi digital payment channel through which eligible users can apply for, receive and repay Kashagi, a nano credit facility offered by TN CyberTech Bank, a registered commercial bank in Zimbabwe, in partnership with EcoCash. The functionality is limited to, and only accessible within, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe’s jurisdiction. Only Zimbabwean customers with an Econet Wireless Zimbabwe registered SIM card can access the service. The nano credit facility is personalised to each eligible user, and the minimum and maximum repayment period will be communicated to the user before the credit is extended. Repayment is facilitated through self-initiated repayment or automated collection in accordance with the applicable nano credit terms and customer authorisation. A 10% handling fee is charged in connection with the service, and no further interest is charged; viii. generate and download EcoCash statements and complete bank-to-wallet and wallet-to-bank transactions; ix. manage personal and wallet information; x. reset a PIN through self-service functionality; xi. check transaction tariffs and limits; and xii. benefit from improved security through biometric authentication and advanced encryption to safeguard financial information.
